Dr. Robert Vitalis will be visiting the University of Alabama Political Science Department and the Department of Gender & Race Studies to give a talk on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 in Lloyd Hall 222 from 3:00pm-5:00pm.

Talk title: “A Mongrel-American Social Science: International Relations”

Abstract: Dr. Vitalis is Professor of Political Science at the University of Pennsylvania. His most recent book, White World Order, Black Power Politics: the Birth of American International Relations (2015), explores the unwritten history of disciplinary international relations, recovering the African-American internationalist tradition.
