Dr. Ani Sarkissian will be visiting the University of Alabama Political Science Department on Thursday, Spetember 20th to give a talk in ten Hoor 346 from 12:30-2 pm.

Ani Sarkissian is an Associate Professor of Political Science at Michigan State University (http://polisci.msu.edu/people/ani-sarkissian/), and her talk is entitled “Ask and You Shall Receive: The Causes and Consequences of State Support for Religion.” She will be discussing her latest book project that explains why countries vary in the types of state support for religion they offer, and the effects of that support on various minority groups and society as a whole.
